We are seeking a Payroll Specialist who will be responsible for North America Payroll full-cycle processing including compliances.

What You’ll Do To Be Successful In This Role…

• Responsible forfull cycle payroll functions for Canada and USA including processing, journal entries, month-end/year-end reconciliations and compliances
• Validates, reviews and reconciles the hours from the timekeeping system to final pay register
• Ensure that all payments, deductions, remittances and dues are accurate, submitted on time and are in accordance with Federal and Provincial legislations
• Prepare reports for third party remittances and various payroll reports
• Process payments to benefit providers and ensure proper accounting reconciliation
• Process payout requests, adjustments, deductions and garnishments as necessary
• Responsible for all payroll related account reconciliations and clearing in SAP
• Assist VP, Finance on Compensation Budget and Forecast process
• Support special projects and other duties as required

Requirements

What you’ll bring…

• At least 3 years payroll administration experience in multi-state/province employee base
• Expert at meeting deadlines while maintaining compliance and regulatory standards
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong organization skills
• Self-motivated and work effectively under pressure while being able to prioritize team efforts, meet deadlines, and juggle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to deal with highly confidential information appropriately
• Strong proficiency in MS Office applications especially excel and various payroll systems; working knowledge of UKG/Ulti-Pro preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or related field; Payroll certification is an asset
