Position: Reconditioning Team Lead
Job Type:Full Time Permanent
Schedule:Monday-Friday 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Purpose:
Responsible for successfully leading the Reconditioning Department in order to ensure that the product that needs to be repackaged, repurposed or removed is done so to meet the needs of the business.
Responsibilities:
Lead the daily process and activities of the Reconditioning Department.
Lead and direct Reconditioning Team; perform all necessary functions to effectively and efficiently Lead personnel assigned, including:
Communicate areas of responsibility and performance expectations, ensuring accountability for performance;
Ensure proper training of employees;
Foster a cooperative and harmonious work environment to maximize employee morale and productivity.
Ensure that the department’s supplies and machinery are maintained.
Generate repacking lists, labels and coordinate the overall process of packaging items for shipment.
Work with procurement and sales in terms of inventory shrink and quality status updates
Assist in the preparation of donatable items, and Associate order forms.
Operate and observe warehouse MHE utilization in a safe manner.
Observe all safety policies and procedures. Embrace a high regard for safety, leading and serving as a role model for others.
Perform all duties and responsibilities in a highly ethical manner and in accordance with Company policies and procedures. Lead and serve as a role model for others in the organization by consistent demonstration of high ethical standards.
Ensures HACCP and Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies and procedures are understood and followed by associates in facility.
Performs other job duties as required.
Job Requirements:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma required
Experience:
Four (4)+ years’ experience in a high volume reconditioning / repack environment.
Minimum three (3) years supervisory experience in a warehouse, inventory control, or related setting.
System implementation preferred.
Previous experience working in a Produce environment is considered an asset.
Skills and Abilities:

Physical Environment / Demands:
Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled warehouse environment.
Incumbent is required to stoop, bend, twist, and reach in order to complete job duties.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs in a continuous manner.

UNFI anticipates paying the above-referenced pay rate (or within the above-referenced pay range) for this position. Actual Pay, where applicable, will depend on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, training, and any requirements under applicable collective bargaining agreements. UNFI is committed to transparency in pay in compliance with applicable state and local laws.

Sales Positions Only: For sales positions that are commission-based, the above range is an estimate of total potential commission-based compensation during an associate’s first year, but UNFI offers an introductory period minimum of $1,000 per week. After the introductory period, as a 100% commission-based role, there is no set salary. UNFI’s commission plans are uncapped and average earnings vary depending on territory and sales achieved, among other factors.
