The DevOps Engineer is a member of the DevOps Engineering Team and is responsible for the development and rollout of automated infrastructure-as-code and continuous delivery mechanisms which supports Optum Insight’s Stratus Imaging solution in cloud environments.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, DevOps Engineering, you will work mostly closely with application development and SRE teams.

Primary Responsibilities:
Develop, support, and update existing and new application infrastructure in cloud environments
Develop, support, and update reusable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) components; create IaC test plans and execute testing
Automate the deployment, configuration, scaling, and overall management of the software applications that run on the above infrastructure; create test plans and execute testing
Automate the cybersecurity requirements and controls for deployed environments and software applications
Assist with the set up and maintenance of all test environments for both manual and automated testing
Assist with the set up and maintenance of the production environment infrastructure and automation
Create and maintain documentation as required for maintenance and rollout of deliverables
Analyze data from production monitoring tools and recommend changes
Provide training and mentoring to peers and Support/Operations (as needed) on areas of expertise
Assist in the development and implementation of DevOps policies and procedures
Work closely and collaboratively in an Agile environment with our product development, operations, and support teams

Required Qualifications:
4+ years of experience in software/systems engineering
2+ years of experience with continuous delivery of cloud infrastructure and applications for enterprise SaaS or PaaS companies in public clouds such as AWS, GCP, Azure
2+ years proven working experience with cloud infrastructure, particularly Kubernetes, and IaC, particularly Terraform
2+ years programming and scripting (e.g., Python, Bash)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with HIPAA compliance and the security of PHI data
Solid background in Linux and Windows administration
Working knowledge of automation and configuration tools (e.g., Ansible, Kustomize)
Working knowledge of software containers, preferably Docker
Solid knowledge of network implementation, configuration, and monitoring
Familiarity with Healthcare IT standards as well as with Healthcare workflows
Proven solid English communication skills (verbal and written) to interact effectively with peers and stakeholders
Proven solid critical and analytical skills
