The incumbent is responsible for coordinating the logistics of the equipment/supplies used for Primary and Critical Care courses as well as course room set up for CE courses in CAE/Michener CASE. This role acts as the primary contact for all equipment and supplies/consumables used for CE courses. The incumbent establishes priorities and resolves problems within area of responsibility. The Equipment and Logistics Technician is responsible for supporting the goals of the department and may be required to take on additional responsibilities. The incumbent will also provide administrative support related to all in-house course delivery as assigned.
Assemble course bins with all relevant supplies and materials related to workshops.
Set up course equipment in CAE/Michener CASE rooms.
Conduct decontamination of equipment and mannequins and repacking equipment to the appropriate storage areas after workshops
Perform regular equipment and supplies inventory, ordering and restocking.
Investigate equipment malfunctions and requisitions repair as required.
Perform general housekeeping of storage areas.
Complete course and roster entries into HSFC portal
Collate and file course documents and student feedback surveys post course delivery.
Assists with the development and maintenance of CE policies, processes, and procedures.
Collaborates with other departments in the sharing of equipment as required for course delivery.
Provides administrative support to the CE department and other programs as needed.
Post-secondary education, preferably in health care field
Experience/exposure to health care systems, hospital environment would be an asset.
Ability to lift, pull, and push up to 30 lbs
Strong customer service orientation
Ability to multi-task and work under pressure, with an eye for detail and timeliness in task completion
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good judgment, flexibility, ability to adapt to change management.
Intermediate computer skills
Satisfactory Canadian Police Clearance document required upon hire.
Vaccines (COVID-19) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption on a medical ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code
