UHN CPA Pre-Approved Program

Rotational Program Overview :
Our 30-month rotational CPA Approved Program at UHN offers the necessary structure and guidance you need to obtain your designation from exam preparation to professional experience, setting you up for success as a UHN employee and future CPA within our diverse corporate and clinical sites.
Work and communicate with people across all levels of the organization
Perform amongst a variety of teams and develop new skillsets and sources of knowledge
Experience different functional groups, work environments, and office locations
Build a business network with individuals in many facets of the organization
Demonstrate leadership through academic, volunteer, and/or extra-curricular activities
The program will enable you to build progressive skills and business acumen under the mentorship of experienced CPAs and include:
Financial Reporting
Management Accounting
Financial Planning & Analysis
Audit and Assurance
Strategy and Governance
As an important member of the Finance Team, you will help fulfill our team Mission to enable strategic transformation, drive operational excellence, and ensure UHN’s financial strength and sustainability.
Rotation details related to the specific business, functional area, location, and rotation order will be determined based on both candidate interest and business need.
To be considered for this Program, candidates must meet the following requirements as of August 31, 2024:
Students holding a (Bachelor’s, post-grad or Master’s) degree with an interest and passion in obtaining their CPA designation
Completion of academic pre-requisites or admission to the CPA Professional Education Program (CPA PEP) prior to starting the Program
Diverse range of leadership activities, such as student club involvement and financial case competitions
Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills
Proven relationship-building experience, conflict resolution and teamwork skills
The ability to continue full-time employment in Canada.
Successful candidates are expected to remain with UHN for at least 2 years.
As at the date of application candidates must have been employed with UHN for a minimum of 6 months and have successfully completed their mandatory probation period.

Current UHN employees must have successfully completed their probationary period, have a good employee record along with satisfactory attendance in accordance with UHN’s attendance management program, to be eligible for consideration.
