In accordance with the Administrative and Professional Officer Agreement , this full time continuing position offers a comprehensive benefits package found at Faculty & Staff Benefits and annual salary range of $65,238 to $108,726

Location – Augustana Camrose. This role is in-person.

Working for the Department/Faculty

The Operations Manager, Augustana, Dining & Conference Services is responsible for the successful operations and management of the dining and conference operations at Augustana

Position

This position is solely responsible for the successful operations and management of dining and conference services at Augustana Campus, as well as identifying growth potential opportunities and developing strategic business strategies that are inline with financial goals and targets. In all facets of this role, this position endeavors to integrate and advance the University’s commitments to equity, diversity and inclusivity. This position understand, fulfills and promotes the health, safety and environment responsibilities identified in University policy.

Duties

• In collaboration with the Director, the Manager monitors operational and financial results including budgets, inventory and food sales reports, labour reports etc. and ensures that targets are being met.
• Develops, monitors, and adheres to a budget.
• Leads long range planning and goal setting for the Augustana Food Services department.
• Plans and implements a Café and Catering program that meets the needs of the campus and generates revenue.
• Designs a staffing model that meets the needs of the department and delivers a comprehensive food services program.
• Assesses students’ needs related to food services, establishes priorities and designs programs to best meet the needs within defined fiscal resources.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree. Progressive experience in the assigned area.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in managing food and beverage operations.
• Strong knowledge of human resource management principles and occupational health & safety regulations.
• Strong knowledge of issues facing students, particularly in regards to food and nutrition.
• Strong awareness of trends in the culinary industry.
