About UrbanLogiq
At UrbanLogiq – we help build better communities with data!
UrbanLogiq offers an integrated data visualization and analytics platform to governments. Founded in 2016, UrbanLogiq is one of the global govtech industry’s fastest growing start-ups and we want you to join our team.
UrbanLogiq exclusively serves public government agencies providing them with cloud-based SaaS solutions that help them better create, manage, use, and consume insights from data, making government services more efficient and effective.
Our mission is to democratize cutting-edge data science and software services for governments of all shapes and sizes, paving the way for stronger, safer, better-connected communities. UrbanLogiq’s award winning software is currently used by government agencies across Canada and the US.
About the Role
We are looking for new graduates to join our team! We have a number of internal openings, such as product development, data engineering, back end development, and site reliability engineering, into which we are looking for driven new graduates.
Responsibilities
UrbanLogiq is a startup and plans to hold on to our startup scrappyness as long as we can. We will stream you into a role that both you and UrbanLogiq believe is a match for your interests and experience, we occasionally have to call all hands on deck in other development domains. We need someone who is comfortable and willing to help out the team when needed, no matter what the task is.
You have grit and determination. You don’t stop until the problem is solved. You have a passion for learning and a willingness to jump into problems headfirst, even if it is something you are unfamiliar with. Sometimes you find that you need to trade off the optimal technical solution for a hack, or grinding through a task versus building automation, and you are okay with that. You are able to work independently but also know when you need to reach out for help when you are spinning your wheels.
Requirements
Minimum bachelor’s in Computer Science or a related field
Co-op experience
Less than one year post-graduate work experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills. The ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people is essential to success in this role
If you’re passionate about building innovative solutions that can make a positive impact on cities and communities, and are excited about working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, we’d love to hear from you.
