Vaco Looking for Corporate Accountant at Toronto, Ontario, Canada Full Time

About the Opportunity

• Perform general accounting tasks for the corporate office
• Book entries in the accounting system
• Maintain non-cash schedules and book entries such as depreciation and prepayments
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including bank reconciliations for all corporate accounts, and review holding company bank reconciliations
• Handle prepaid amortization, reconciliation, and analysis
• Post, analyze, and reconcile accruals
• Maintain, record, report, and reconcile the fixed assets sub-ledger
• Reconcile intercompany accounts
• Prepare monthly capitalization of interest entries as applicable
• Record entries related to market-to-market on company derivatives
• Prepare cash flows for holding entities and assist in preparing the corporate cash flow
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis and prepare trial balances for specific purposes
• Gather audit-related evidence for local and group auditors for corporate entities

About You

• Minimum 3 years of experience in full-cycle accounting, including AP, AR, fixed assets, prepaid/accruals, and supporting period-end close
• Advanced Excel functions (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP)
• Experience within a publicly traded company
• CPA in progress is considered a strong asset
