Our Team:

Our corporate office, located in downtown Toronto serves as the headquarters for the global Base Metals business, providing support to all our Base Metals operations.

The Sales & Marketing back office in Canada administer the commercial sales of Vale’s various products, including finished Nickel and Cobalt, Intermediates, in addition to administering Vale Base Metals’ purchased feeds program. We move Vale’s goods from Order to Cash in an in a cost-effective manner, employing logistics/transportation services as well as assaying/supervision services as part of the sales process.

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Commercial and Logistics Co-op Student to join our Marketing and Sales team in TORONTO, ON. This position is based out of an at home office with travel to the office as required. This is a fixed term 12-month position.

As a Marketing Student you will support the Intermediates Sales and Purchased Feeds commercial analysts in their daily work. Your experience and skills will help support efficient and accurate revenue posting for sales, as well as timely vendor invoice processing for laboratory/umpire supervision and other vendor costs. In this position you will:

• Support creation of POs in the system for new purchase feed contracts
• Request vendor creation in the system as needed
• Initiate material ID creation as needed
• Support processing of purchased feed invoice payments
• Model invoice templates based on new purchase contract terms
• Enter vendor invoices in system as needed
• Support audit inquiries / documentation / data requests
• Provide other administrative support as needed for Cobalt streaming, Intermediates, or Finished Goods sales

About You

• Currently enrolled as a student within a related program
• Previous marketing experience is considered an asset
• Strong organizational and analytical skills preferred
• Ability to work with others in a timely and coherent manner
• Proactive, engaged, eager to learn and grow
