About 312 Main
A project of Vancity Community Foundation, 312 Main is a Centre for Social and Economic Innovation located in the Downtown Eastside. The building is owned by the City of Vancouver and VCF is contracted to manage the space.
The building has been transformed into a home for a dynamic community of social entrepreneurs, not-for-profit community organizations, and artists, along with hosting community and cultural events. 312 Main aims to contribute to building an inclusive, diverse, collaborative, and innovative community committed to working together to create positive social, economic, environmental, and cultural impact in the DTES neighbourhood and city.

The Role: Community and Member Manager
The Community and Member Manager is responsible for leading and developing member and community engagement and programming at 312 Main and managing the Community and Member Specialists.
Within this role you will work closely with the Managing Director to develop and implement policies and procedures that build and foster a vibrant and financially sustainable social and economic innovation centre. You and your team will be the primary contact for members and the community with three main responsibilities: membership management, business management, and community engagement. You will be involved in frontline service delivery and management, and find collaborative ways to engage members and community together. You will embed REDI (Reconciliation, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion) and decolonization principles within managing and supporting your team, the development and implementation of policies and procedures, relationship building, resolving conflict and in your responsibilities.
You describe yourself as a connector – you help make connections both between ideas and between people. You have an ability to sense the emotions of those around you, understand them and help validate and elevate how they feel about something. You are dedicated to applying REDI (Reconciliation, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion) principles into life and work, implementing relational methods over transactional ones. You are known for being solutions focused and finding opportunities to celebrate or recognize people, processes, or experiences.

The Team: In this role, you will be reporting into the Director of Social and Economic Innovation, and supporting a team of Community and Member Specialists.
Work Location: This competitively rewarded role will require you to be fully onsite. There will be options for the occasional remote work.
Salary: Starting from $91,000 (flexible based on experience)
