Vaughan Medical Centre Looking for Medical Office Administrator at Woodbridge, ON Full Time

We have an opening for a Medical Office Administrator in Vaughan, Ontario, minutes away from Vaughan Mills Shopping Centre and Canada’s Wonderland. You will have the opportunity to work in a multi-disciplinary practice consisting of Medical Doctors, Pharmacists, Physiotherapists, Chiropractors, and Massage Therapists.

Our facility is bright, modern, spacious, and fully equipped with 10 treatment rooms (6 medical, 3 physiotherapy, 1 massage). Our existing staff are friendly, experienced, and ready to help.

We are currently offering full and part time position, approximately 30-40 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

• Greeting, receiving, and directing patients
• Update patient information and ensure valid OHIP are in the charts
• Multi-line telephone system managed professionally in a timely manner
• Making and receiving calls regarding patients booking, examinations, specialist requests, managing referral requests, etc.
• Processing electronic or paper documents, incomings faxes, scanning reports into electronic medical records, mailing (OSCAR EMR)
• Checking and responding to messages in EMR from the physician (OSCAR)
• Ensuring exam rooms are stocked and checking vaccine fridge as instructed
• Communication between physician and patient
• Managing email inquiries for new or existing patients
• Medical office and OHIP related billings for family doctors
• Other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

• English required, Italian or other language is an asset
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient computer skills, experience with EMRs is an asset (OSCAR, Universal)
• 1-2yrs of Medical Reception experience
• Medical terminology knowledge an asset
• OHIP billings experience an asset

Sales Background is a strong asset. Excellent communication skills and ability to handle multiple phone calls / tasks is essential for this role. Italian speaking is an asset. Fluent English required.
