Marda Loop Animal Hospital welcoming a high school student full-time for the summer to join our team!
This role is vital to the success of our hospital! You are the first point of contact and have the ability to leave a lasting impression that builds trust and loyalty with our clients. Your primary goal is to ensure the clients and their pets feel welcomed, expertly cared for and appreciated.
Our summer positions will provide you with invaluable insights into your future career. As a valued member of our team, you will develop practical and professional skills by working closely with our licensed doctors and technicians. You will be introduced to the inner workings of our hospitals while also gaining exposure and education in the veterinary field.
Requirements

Applicants must be high school students eligible for the Youth Internship Incentive Program (YIIP)

Legally authorized to work in Canada

Must be able to repeatedly lift at least 40 lbs

Exceptional client service skills that build trust and loyalty

Compassionate and nurturing attitude providing care to clients and patients

Work effectively as a team player

Ability to remain calm and efficient in stressful situations

Initiative in carrying out assignments independently

Flexible schedule availability; able to work a rotation of one week of evenings, one week of days and every other Saturday.
