Overview:
As a Cash Applications Representative, you will be responsible for payment applications to the appropriate client accounts.
What you’ll do:
- Apply all incoming payments to the correct client accounts (Primarily Credit Cards with opportunity in other functions)
- Reconcile all payment applications daily.
- Process Credit Card payments for our clients on our credit card portal(s)
- Review Banking Correspondence & distributing it to the appropriate teams (Cash Apps, Collections, Accounting)
- Research payments that are received with no payment detail.
- Daily follow up on all Unapplied/Unidentified payments.
- Identify refunds at time of application.
- Handle Cash application requests from clients & all other departments
This is a Temporary Part time position with Veritext.
Who you are:
- Assertive, proactive, and efficient with excellent problem solving and follow-up skills.
- Take initiative & be able to work independently.
- Strong computer skills, Zoom, Microsoft, Outlook.
- Customer service oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, highly organized and able to multi-task.
- 1-2 years’ experience in Cash Applications required.
- Experience with Excel spreadsheets is required.
