Versatile Media is a global company that has created an end-to-end virtual production workflow. Our new North American headquarters are based in Vancouver, Canada where we run performance capture and visualization stages that run on real-time technology. Our focus is on Virtual Production, combining real-time rendering technology, traditional film workflows and proprietary research and development, as well as creating original animation and live action IP for Sci-Fi and fantasy genres. Our upcoming LED stage is scheduled to open in early 2023.

The Marketing Generalist will assist with the coordination and implementation of our marketing plans while supporting our brand awareness goals. This includes everything from events and conferences to email marketing and other initiatives. No task is too small. The ideal candidate will thrive with the ebb and flow of the film and television industry. The ideal candidate will take ownership of their role and enjoy jumping from task to task.

How you will spend your time…..

• Assisting in the execution of all marketing initiatives with the marketing team, while collaboratively brainstorming and contributing creative ideas, innovations and concepts as it relates to our overall company strategy.
• Coordinating the implementation of activities and programs including direct marketing, video and social content to name a few.
• Overseeing social media and email marketing and short videos for channels including Facebook, Instagram Reels, and YouTube; alongside our production team.
• Supporting the development and maintenance of Versatile Media’s website.
• Reporting and providing ongoing tracking and analysis of digital strategies through analytics.
• Identifying trends and opportunities in the marketplace.
• Participating in marketing meetings and collaborating with team and departments to contribute to the growth of the company.
• Assisting in the proofreading of blogs, press releases and sales material.

We’d love to hear from you if have…

• A minimum of 2 years of general marketing experience including social media.
• Experience communicating and coordinating with 3rd party vendors and clients.
• A service-oriented philosophy and willingness to get things done.
• Experience in adopting brand voice and translating it into targeted communication.
• Knowledge of publishing on all social channels and media platforms.
• A solid understanding of web metrics and digital analytics; with the ability to generate and interpret data.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects.
• Strong task management skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to iterate ideas quickly and ask for help and support when needed.
• Familiarity with video editing apps and software including Adobe Creative Suite tools or equivalent to create digital content.
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of cultural nuances in social marketing.
• Experience in web page management (Wordpress) a plus.
• Experience in the entertainment sector including, animation, gaming or film / TV a plus.
