Versett Looking for Accounting Assistant at Calgary, AB Full Time

Hi, my name is Kaitlyn Wooldridge, the Senior Accountant at Versett. We are looking for an Accounting Assistant to join our growing Calgary team.

As a member of our team, the right person is someone with a high attention to detail interested in gaining experience in the accounting field and is a persistent problem-solver. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, complex accounting environment and will provide support across several departments and brands.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

• You will work closely with the accounting team to build a highly efficient and organized service to support our staff across the organization
• The opportunity to grow your accounting skills in a complex and growing international organization with the following responsibilities:
  • Banking
  • Processing daily bank transactions
  • Monthly bank reconciliations
  • Credit card reconciliations
  • A/R
  • Liaise with Revenue Operations Team to create invoices
  • Weekly AR report and collections process
  • Corresponding with customers
  • Recording cash deposits and receipts
  • A/P
  • Processing vendor bills
  • Liaise with department leads for bill approvals
  • Corresponding with vendors
  • Posting Payments
  • Posting employee expenses
  • Administrative
  • Manage all accounting emails
  • Checking mail and processing deposits
  • General Accounting
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Ad hoc requests
  • Assist with corporate month-end and year-end review processes as necessary

This position will be 100% in office (Calgary) for the probation period (3 months) for training purposes, with the possibility to move to a hybrid work model once probation is complete.
