OVERVIEW
Vertex is currently accepting applications for a full-time Semi Vac Operators for our Lloydminster & Blackfoot, AB locations. The successful candidate must have experience working in the field and must have valid oil field tickets.
Shift Rotation: 5/2 Rotation
Compensation: Competitive, based on experience
Benefits: After successful completion of 3-month probation period
Run New Equipment, working starting January 2023.
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
- Class 1 license with a clean commercial abstract
- Mandatory safety tickets required: CSTS 20, H2S Alive, First Aid, Fall Protection, Confined Space & CSO
- Experience operating semi vacs.
- Minimum 1-year oilfield experience
- Super B Tanker Experience
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive and operate all equipment in a safe and professional manner
- Ability to demonstrate competent operation of equipment
- Participate in safety program by ensuring all company and customer policies & procedures are adhered to
- Attendance and participation in toolbox talks and safety meetings, FLRA’s, hazard assessment development, pre-trips/post-trips
- Willing to work as a team player with coworkers, contractors, and customers
- Ensure customer and client satisfaction by always providing excellent customer service
- Follow all local, provincial and federal compliance regulations and rules
- Ensure all safety certificate training are up to date
- Perform maintenance on units to ensure cleanliness and efficient operation
- Complete and maintain all required paperwork and documentation properly within set timelines; this includes daily logs, waste manifests etc.
- Workload and schedules may vary depending on emergency situations and routine work that can be punctuated by very busy periods; this is a 24-hour business and the hours can be erratic
- Travel is required and driving will occur in all weather conditions to various customer and/or Vertex worksites
- Ability to lift heavy tools and parts
