Reporting To: Overview:
The RVT Talent Acquisition Partner will leverage their existing Veterinary industry knowledge in order to play an integral role in the pursuit of VetCare’s ambitious growth plan to become a leading player in veterinary medicine in Canada. Partnering with Operations team members, and the rest of the Talent Acquisition team, the RVT Talent Acquisition Partner will focus on building a national pipeline of Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) contacts, managing and building a pipeline of talent, assisting in the execution of a campus recruitment program and relationship building while maintaining a service-oriented mindset to promote excellence in alignment with VetCare’s people-first culture and values.
Responsibilities (including but not limited to)
Support the Regional and Practice Managers throughout the Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) hiring process. This includes reviewing resumes, conducting phone interviews, preparing a list of candidate recommendations, scheduling interviews and conducting reference checks.
P articipate in the population of our database, with an emphasis on record quality and quantity, as it relates to the continuous tracking of RVTs and their contact information.
In collaboration with the Manager, TA, assists in executing a campus recruitment plan with an emphasis on RVT programs across Canada.
In partnership with the rest of the Talent Acquisition team, attend, and potentially contribute to, the key professional conferences and industry events in order to expand our network and increase VetCare’s profile in the marketplace.
Research and present findings around recommended ways to continually expand the quantity and improve the quality of our target contacts/data (for example purchased lists) to expand upon our database population.
Identify creative venues for candidate attraction via RVT communities (including social media platforms like facebook groups and professional networking sites).
Implement an outreach strategy, each time a RVT post is created, to strategically target everyone who falls within the related geographic catchment area.
Utilize the LinkedIn Recruiter tool to its maximum potential, by building projects for each technical opening, and expanding upon our LinkedIn network through regular outreach, and capturing as much contact data as possible in our database.
Develop and implement creative ways to reach our target audience of RVTs and work with marketing and the TA Team to coordinate, organize and participate in VetCare recruitment events.
Be the guru of RVT related marketplace information and the trends and issues facing the profession – including tracking the most current compensation trends and competitor intelligence.
Be a Brand Ambassador for VetCare at external events.
Position Requirements
Our ideal candidate is a RVT with clinical experience and has already transitioned to a corporate role in sales, operations, or recruitment.
Experience using some form of CRM database would be considered an asset.
