Victus Academy is a private school designed for both male and female student-athletes in grades 5 through 12 and provides the best of two disciplines – university-level schooling combined with hockey skills training from NHL skill coaches.

Victus Academy is inspected by the Ministry of Education for the Province of Ontario. Our academic staff are Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certified and follow the Ontario Curriculum.

At Victus Academy, both hockey and academics are pursued with the same vigour, excellence, and competitiveness. We ensure the curriculum is designed to accommodate the hockey program and the other strenuous demands placed on the athlete. Class sizes are limited to 15 students.

Victus Academy is growing and is currently looking to hire full/part-time, elementary and high school teachers.

The preferred candidate will:
– have OCT certification in the specified area
– have a solid understanding of the Growing Success Policy
– keep and maintain a strong rapport with students and families
– have strong classroom management skills
– be reliable, trustworthy and competent
– maintain organized and proficient lesson plans
– have knowledge and experience working with the Ontario Curriculum
– provide us with a Teacher Performance Appraisal or Practicum Report (can be submitted under Teaching Evaluations)
– provide us with a Criminal Background Check upon request

Job Types: Full/Part-time, Contract

Contract length: 10 months
