Problem solving skills, detail orientated and critical thinking are a must and more so for those interested in becoming a technician.
Folks with experance in Building/facility maintenance, handyman/woman, auto or machine mechanic, electrical, plumbing, carpentry or HVAC trades and construction work are among those who are good candidates for the fire safety service industry.
All the standard qualities any employer would desire is required. Honest, polite, organized, good natured, hard working, eager, able follow directions in detail, etc . A clean drivers abstract, well spoken and written english is a must. This trade is equally good for both Women and Men.

Job description
The job is assisting/helping the lead technician with daily duties which include fire safety inspections of fire alarm panels, sprinkler systems, emergency lighting, fire extinguishers, fire hoses/stand pipes, fire hydrants and back flow devices. Assist with repairs, service and installations. Go to places and locations the general public never sees. Interact with new people daily. Go somewhere and do something different on a daily basis. In general, assist, help and support the lead technician with daily duties.
