Who you are:
Reporting to the Head, People and Culture, the HRBP will provide support in building successful collaborative and trusting relationships with the management and employee teams and pro-actively fostering a culture of business partner relations, maintaining positive employee relations and executing project initiatives as required.
You will serve as the first point of contact for on-boarding/off-boarding, supporting and resolving employee relations issues, implementing HR programs, policies and procedures, training & development and providing monthly/quarterly support for HR reporting and metrics.
Job Description
Serving as the first point of contact for HR inquiries and supports employee orientation, onboarding and offboarding process
Responding to various employee enquires and assisting the Head of People and Culture with employee relations matters; ensuring appropriate follow up and thorough communication
Building relationships with employees and managers to support business as required
Providing feedback and is responsible for assisting in implementing procedures and policies to continually improve HR departmental efficiency and the organization as a whole
Maintaining employee records in a confidential manner
Leveraging HR systems for various reporting needs
Creating and preparing forms, letters and documents to support HR transactions such as hires, promotions and corporate communications
Employee Benefits administration
Assisting with recruitment activities with such tasks as posting jobs, editing of job descriptions, pre-screening of resumes, scheduling of interviews, reference checks and candidate follow up
Designing and implementation assistance on training plans company-wide
Monitoring employee climate to identify issues/trends; counseling managers on identifying issues and implementing corrective actions, while also seeing opportunities to increase engagement.
Participating in Human Resources projects as required
Conducting research into employment standards, best practices in the development of initiatives and policies, articles/case studies
Performing additional duties as required
Qualifications
Ideally 2-3 years of HR Generalist experience working in a fast-paced environment
Have a post-secondary education with a concentration in Human Resources
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Demonstrated ability to use sound judgment and decision making
Proactive, self-motivated, positive thinker capable to approach problems from a solution-oriented standpoint with tact and sensitivity
High personal integrity and ability to handle sensitive and/or confidential documents.
Learning agility and genuine interest in HR topics.
Ability to communicate effectively – both oral and written
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
Well organized, able to work with minimal guidance and meet tight deadlines.
High level of accuracy and analytical skills.
Great interpersonal and teamwork skills
