Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Business Sales Consultant to deliver on our business growth and diversification strategy.
This ongoing work-from-home full-time permanent position is open to candidates currently residing in Canada with valid work authorization.
Responsibilities:
Identify, prospect, qualify and select sales opportunities aligned with our business strategy.
Develop market coverage strategies in partnership with other business development stakeholders and engage appropriately to accomplish objectives.
Identify and continuously monitor changing customer and market trends to identify areas of business growth.
Negotiate new contracts and close new business by preparing collateral and presenting our services to prospective clients.
Contribute to the alignment of sales and marketing efforts.
Provide timely and accurate sales funnel and forecasting through VIRTIRA’s Hubspot CRM.
Leverage attendance at trade shows/conferences and through trade organisations to generate new leads in addition to other traditional lead generation tactics.
Nurture strong client relationships to maximize organic growth opportunities.
Partner with Marketing to capture and leverage market and customer insights.
Contribute to sales department best practices and processes.
Qualifications and skills:
3-5 years experience in direct sales, business development or account management.
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Efficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
Confidently able to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with all levels of internal and external colleagues and stakeholders.
Impeccable written, verbal communication and persuasion skills.
Willingness and ability to commit to overnight travel to conferences and to meet prospects.
Able to work flexible hours outside of 9 to 5 Monday to Friday to meet the needs of the role.
Prior experience prospecting/selling for a service-based company an asset.
Prior experience prospecting/selling in a complex sales environment an asset.
