This is an entry-level position with significant growth potential for individuals that show initiative, perform well and are willing to continue learning.
PRINCIPAL FOCUS:
You will work alongside software developers, product owners and other system specialists in the development and support of the testing program. You will gather and interpret user/system requirements and produce well-structured, documented and maintainable test scripts and validate that acceptance criteria are met during the testing process. In addition, you will triage and resolve or coordinate resolutions of issues submitted by the users of our various web apps.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
Create maintainable test scripts for the testing of web applications to be integrated into the CI/CD pipeline
Create and execute test plans for all web applications
Conduct manual testing of completed user stories and bugs to ensure adherence to acceptance criteria
Perform ongoing analysis of application telemetry and database metrics to identify bugs and performance issues
Create clearly documented bug reports for anomalies found during test procedures or in response to reported issues
Resolve and/or coordinate responses to support requests from end-users of all web applications through the support portal
Participate in the release process to ensure quality releases
Be available and provide after-hours support if/when required
COMPETENCIES:
Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills
Flexible and self-motivated individual who works well in a team environment.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects concurrently.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Understanding of QA and software testing lifecycle
Experience with Python or other scripting language
Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JSON
Basic knowledge of T-SQL
Understanding of REST APIs and testing tools
Understanding of Microsoft stack programs
Understanding of Agile development methodology
Additional Skills – Not Required but Preferred
Knowledge of Selenium, Robot Framework
Knowledge of SQL database optimization methods
Knowledge of C#
University or college degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or equivalent work experience.
