Specialist, Master Data

Brossard, QC

Having a major role in the Engineering support team at Voith Hydro North America, the Master Data Specialist is responsible of the creation and maintenance of critical engineering data related to internal processes.

YOUR ROLE –

Collaborate with engineers defining and entering Bills of Materials (BOM’s), based on sourcing and manufacturing strategy;

Track engineering changes and distribute tasks to ensure compliance with revised designs and others functions in the organization (supply management, quality, site, etc.);

Follow up on engineering milestones and open tasks in the SAP system;

Prepare reports related to project costs for management team;

Develop standards, implement best practices and routines to promote effective use of systems;

Act as main contact by training and supporting the engineering team in their daily use of the various systems.

YOUR PROFILE –

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, industrial engineering or equivalent;

Work experience with data creation and data management in industrial context, preferably with SAP;

Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);

Interest in working on technical products and projects in the renewable energy sector and learning the basic operating principles;

Ability to multi-task and prioritize requests based on business needs;

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English;

Effective teamwork skills.
