As the captive finance company of the Audi, Ducati and Volkswagen brands in Canada, VW Credit Canada, Inc., also known as Audi Finance and Volkswagen Finance, is a wholly owned subsidiary of VW Credit, Inc. Audi Finance and Volkswagen Finance offers a wide range of leasing, retail financing and protection plans expertly tailored to meet the needs of our Customers. Additionally, we provide commercial financing products to Audi and Volkswagen Dealers to support expanding dealership capabilities and enhancing overall operations.
The Director of NAR Remarketing Operations leads the NAR Remarketing Operations Team in Process Management, Project Steering, Analytics and Reporting, Logistics Support, Vehicle Remarketing Services, and Mobility Services, to achieve departmental objectives, policy compliance, and remarketing service standards. The role oversees remarketing payoff processes ensuring consistency and governance of revenue collection and cost controls in the remarketing of vehicle assets ($4.5 Billion annually). Responsible for remarketing operational framework and upstream vendor management, the role is responsible for process design and leads remarketing system project development and implementation. Additionally, the role leads the leads remarketing / used car business collaboration with Audi and Volkswagen Brands in the Canadian Market.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Remarketing Operations Steering (35%)
Role is accountable for leading Regional Remarketing Operations functions for both Canadian and U.S. markets that reflect each market’s requirements while achieving synergies and efficiencies across the total operation. Duties include:
Process Management (e.g. Vendor oversight, Control monitoring, SLA fulfillment)
Project Steering (e.g. Vendor transition, Digitalization initiatives)
Remarketing Services (e.g. Arbitration processing, Dealer call handling)
Logistics (e.g. Vehicle status monitoring, Problem pickup resolution, Proceeds reconciliation)
Mobility Services (Dealer Service Loaners)
Remarketing Process Optimization (20%)
Lead identification of remarketing operational synergies and automation opportunities. Steer design development of optimal processes including vendor and organizational elements. Lead remarketing system project development and implementation.
Remarketing Business Intelligence (20%)
Oversee delivery of Vehicle Remarketing Reporting suite. Optimize Executive, Management and Operational level report requirements. Collaborate with data stakeholders to design and deliver to internal and brand partners supported by value added insights.
NAR Remarketing Management Team (15%)
Provide input into NAR Remarketing strategic direction and identification of strategic projects. Collaborate with NAR Remarketing Management stakeholders to ensure strong communication and collaboration with Remarketing Team(s) and cross-functional / brand partners.
VCCI Remarketing Committee Participation (10%)
Collaborate with Audi and Volkswagen Canada as Remarketing Committee Chairperson in development and implementation of action plans to maximize resale values and retain remarketed vehicles within dealer networks.
EXPERIENCE
10+ years professional experience with indirect automotive financial services or automotive wholesale/retail sales & remarketing functions
5+ Years Team Leadership experience
3+ Years Project Management
Experience in managing vendor relationships
Experience managing operations with diverse processes including IT / vendor system integrations
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree (Business / Finance or related area)
MBA, desired
SPECIALIZED SKILLS
Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council Automotive Certification Course Completion
Knowledge of State and Federal regulatory and licensing/certification requirements to sell vehicle assets in United States
Knowledge of Finance and Accounting
Knowledge of Statistical Modelling, desired
Prior Systems Integration experience, desired
WORK FLEXIBILITY
Some driving or travel (25-40%), including overnight travel (5-10%)
