We’re looking for a Junior Accountant to join our team who can lead essential financial functions, drive process improvements, and ensure our financial operations run seamlessly and efficiently.

You will:

• Manage daily financial transactions, such as AP, AR, cash, credit card reconciliations, and expense reports; while ensuring precision and thorough record-keeping.
• Participate in month-end closing activities, including journal entry preparation and account reconciliations.
• Enhance financial workflows in collaboration with the team to improve efficiency.
• Engage with various departments to facilitate the financial components of business operations.
• Investigate and resolve any financial inconsistencies, providing thorough documentation.
• Keep financial records current and accurate in line with accounting standards.
• Prepare standard financial reports and support audit activities with appropriate documentation.
• Stay updated with accounting regulations and follow internal financial procedures.
• Drive improvements in financial processes for better efficiency.
• Support adopting new financial tools or systems to modernize our accounting practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor in Accounting or related field.
• Pursuing or completing CPA/Chartered Public Accountant coursework.
• 1-2+ years in an accounting role, preferably with transactional accounting experience.
• Proficient in different accounting software, including QBO, NetSuite, etc.
• Knowledge of US and Canadian GAAP & IFRS, and fundamental financial reporting.
• Exceptional detail-oriented approach and precision in financial management.
• Strong organizational skills for effective financial task management.
• Solid communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team.
• Independent work ethic coupled with a strong team player mindset.
• A proactive learner, ready to tackle new transactional challenges.
