Wallbridge Mining Company Ltd Looking for Accounting Clerk at Lively, ON Full Time

Role

Reports to

• Senior Manager of Finance or their delegate

Location

• The position is based at the Sudbury office with a combination of office and remote work possible.

Overall responsibility

• Working with professionalism and financial discipline to help Wallbridge be successful.
• Assist with accounting related tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile invoices to vendor statements, credit card purchases against receipts and prepare payments. Ensure that purchases match to the purchase order and receiving slip.
• Ensure proper account coding on purchase orders and invoices. Maintain electronic filing records.
• Maintain purchase order tracking sheets to assist with tracking and budgeting processes.
• Prepare certain monthly accruals.
• Prepare bank reconciliations.
• Prepare month end HST and QST returns for filing.
• Prepare accounts receivable invoices as needed.
• Compile monthly fuel logs and invoices.
• Maintain tracking sheet for capital projects.
• Maintain rental listings.
• Assist with the payables cycle as needed.
• Assist with accounting software upgrade as needed.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Other related duties as determined necessary.

Term of employment

• Permanent, full time, 40 hours per week.
• Compensation commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; College Diploma in Business/Accounting from a recognized institution is preferred.
• 1 – 3 years prior experience in an accounting-related position.
• Bilingual (written and spoken) in both French and English is an asset.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (excel, word, Outlook), experience with Jonas software considered an asset.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Organized and detail-oriented, able to multi-task effectively.
• Works well and collaboratively in a team environment; able to work independently when needed.
