Applicants Will Be Considered In The Following Order
The Communications Clerk will report to the Senior Manager, Communications, and will be responsible for providing clerical support to the Communications Department. The successful candidate is expected to work both independently and as a team member to perform a wide variety of administrative support services, all of which contribute to the efficient and professional operation of an innovative communications team.
The successful applicant for this Educational Support Staff position, Level E ($45,167 – $56,099), will work 35 hours per week, 12 months per year, effective as soon as possible.

Responsibilities
Provide clerical support to the Senior Manager, Communications and the Communications Department, including:
Support the area of general email inquiries from the public, schools or staff to the corporate general mailbox (info@wrdsb.ca);
Point of contact for the Communications Department for 4123 (emergency) calls during regular business hours (8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.) and send email to 4123 email group outlining the call details;
Updating general electronic calendars maintained by the Communications Department, such as the Dates of Importance calendar;
Support the distribution of materials to schools, departments or community e-flyers;
Tracking and supporting translation services, and support Communications Secretary with appropriate related record-keeping;
Support the uploading of content on behalf of schools or departments on the public website or Staff Intranet;
Qualifications
Perform other duties as required
A Secondary School Graduation Diploma or equivalent education;
2-5 years of recent working experience in an office environment
Working knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel in a Windows 10 computer environment;
Excellent interpersonal skills;
Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team;
Effective written and oral communication skills;
Attention to detail, excellent organizational and time-management skills;
Flexibility and a focus on high quality customer satisfaction;
Experience in the area of website maintenance would be an asset; and
Preference will be given to applicants with prior secretarial experience in an educational setting
