Job Overview

Wawanesa is looking for an experienced candidate to take on the role of Senior Process Analyst in our Operational Excellence team. Your primary responsibility is to support our culture of continuous improvement, act as a subject matter expert in Lean Six Sigma and drive successful process optimization initiatives. This is a role that will have a big impact on our business, where you have an opportunity to interact with every layer of the organization and collaborate with all functions.

Lead or support initiatives that eliminate process waste, advise business leaders on practices that drive process excellence, and leverage technology to generate creative solutions. We’re looking for strong project management skills, an effective change champion, and experience identifying automation opportunities.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the analysis, design and documentation of current state and future state business operation processes
• Lead GAP analysis sessions with a diverse group of stakeholders recommending quick win opportunities
• Identify and eliminate business process waste
• Lead and manage the identification and prioritization of continuous improvement initiatives in the region/function
• Develop timelines and manage working groups to reach milestones and deploy contingency plans as required
• Collect and analyze voice of the customer and critical to quality components of the process
• Champion benefits of process changes and communicate those effectively to all levels of the organization
• Build key stakeholder relationships to improve support and ease of doing business
• Providing coaching and mentorship to peers and stakeholder groups
• Focus on customer-centric process orientation
• Use operational excellence and lean six sigma tools and methodology
• Draw alignment between business process, goals, and metrics
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of departmental methodologies by keeping apprised of changes in the industry as well as technologies
• Identify process automation opportunities
• Coordinate, facilitate and/or attend necessary meetings, interviews and/or workshops while providing role appropriate input and feedback
• Manage and track progress against project plans, financial reports, status reports and issue logs
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years experience in delivering enterprise and process improvement activities using a structured methodology
• Business process management or lean six sigma certification; Black Belt preferred
• Post-secondary degree or equivalent experience
• Insurance relating certification would be considered an asset
• Bilingual in French and English would be considered an asset
• Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization
• Experience using operational excellence or lean six sigma methodology for problem-solving and continuous improvement
• Proficient with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365: Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI
• Experience with process mining tools would be considered an asset
• Excellent attention to detail, planning, organizing and time management skills
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Provide regular support and guidance to team members
• Demonstrate commitment to understanding and satisfying customer needs
• There may be possible travel required within Canada and the USA
