Weengushk Film Institute is looking to hire a dedicated Marketing and IT Coordinator to join our team.
The Marketing and IT Coordinator will provide marketing and IT support to the Executive Director, Artistic
Director, as well as manage all marketing and promotion initiatives for the organization and all day-to-day
IT technical support including software procurement and troubleshooting technical issues. The role also includes planning, advertising, public relations, organizing events, product development, distribution, sponsorship, and research.

Job Description and Responsibilities –

Administration
Liaising and networking with a range of stakeholders, e.g. customers, colleagues, funders and partner organizations;
Communicating with target audiences and managing customer relationships;

Marketing and Promotion
Writing and proofreading
Arranging for the effective distribution of marketing materials and updating customer database;
Liaising with designers and printers;
Organizing photo shoots;
Organizing and attending events such as conferences, seminars, receptions and exhibitions;
Contributing to and developing marketing plans and strategies;
Managing marketing budget;
Monitoring competitor activity
Lead all WFI marketing and promotional initiatives;
Write and distribute press releases;
Review and evaluate all WFI marketing materials;
Provide print and visual content to WFI website manager;
Monitor corporate communication to ensure uniformity in message – taglines and logo usage;
Create quarterly newsletter;
Distribute invitation to media for coverage of WFI events;
Support marketing and promotion database development by passing on any/all relevant information to database

Funding
Sourcing advertising opportunities and placing adverts in the press (local, regional, national and specialist publications) or on the radio(depending on the organization and campaign);
Sourcing and securing sponsorship;
Solicit targeted foundations through email and direct mail campaigns;
Assist in research to identify new funding sources;
Coordinate fundraising initiatives

IT
Managing network;
Server infrastructure website;
Desktop support;
Phone system;
Cybersecurity;
Computers and software purchases;
Data management;
Manage and improve system processes

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in a communications role.
• Proficiency in design and publishing software.
• Proficiency in social media platforms
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, or another relevant degree
• Must have a valid Ontario Driver’s License

Salary/Wages:
$40,000.00 per year
