Weldco Heavy Industries Looking for Human Resources Coordinator at Fort McMurray, AB Full Time

Weldco Heavy Industries (WHI) is a large steel fabrication and repair facility located in the Fort McKay Caribou Energy Park. Strategically positioned in the heart of Alberta’s oil sands, WHI is able to effectively meet the increasing requirements for large steel repair, assembly and refurbishment in this industry.

WHI is currently recruiting a Human Resources (HR) Coordinator. This position will report to the General Manager.

This position works at our Fort McKay office, located approximately 60 km north of Fort McMurray. The ideal candidate will be required to report to work on site Monday-Friday using their own transportation.

What you will do:

• Coordinate full cycle recruitment for the branch
• Conduct orientation and training programs
• Participate in implementing HR departmental initiatives
• Coordinate the branches performance management system
• Ensure HRIS database is up to date
• Support foremen with performance management and disciplinary actions
• Ensure compliance with company policies and collective agreement

Your qualifications:

• Experience working with collective agreements and unionized employees
• Recognized Human Resources Diploma or Degree
• A minimum of 2 years of related experience within a trades environment
• Recruitment experience is required
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now is an asset
