WellFort is seeking for a Part-time permanent 0.4FTE Medical Office Assistant!

Specific Responsibilities
· Manages EMR schedules for all providers across both sites
· Manages release of records, completes referrals, downloads results and distributes to appropriate providers.
· Performs administrative tasks such as scanning, faxing, billing, and data collection
· Provides excellent customer service support with the ability to respond to diverse client needs
· Provides in person and telephone reception for clients, staff, and visitors
· Performs tasks related to panel management and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
· A certificate or diploma in Medical Office Administration or a related field
· Strong time management and organization skills
· Proficiency with computers and various software programs including EMR
· Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced dynamic environment
· Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving skills
· Strong written and oral communication skills
· Proven customer service skills and experience with strong customer service focus
· Fluency in Spanish, Punjabi, and/or other languages relevant to residents of Peel

Salary range $35,168 – $42,371 prorated

Vaccination Requirement:
As a condition of employment, new WellFort staff must be fully vaccinated unless they have received an exemption from vaccination under the Human Rights Code. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination status will be required before the first day of work or, proof of religious or medical exemption, if or where applicable.
Fully vaccinated is defined as having received the completed series of an accepted COVID-19 vaccine, as recommended by the Office of the Chief Medical Officer of Health and having received the final dose at least 14 days before your employment start date.
The candidate will be asked to provide WellFort with proof of full vaccination, prior to their employment start date. Acceptable proof is a Ministry of Health Dose Administration Receipt (or such other proof of vaccination that the Province of Ontario sanctions). This can be obtained through the Provincial portal
