The opportunity:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Advisor Experience, the Estate & Trust Specialist is accountable for effectively handling all Estate and Trust related inquiries from Associates and Advisors

The Estate and Trust Specialist will be the main point of contact for WAPW staff and for NBCN back office trust -related inquiries.

Key responsibilities include:

• Be responsible for managing a portfolio of estates and trusts and providing clients and beneficiaries with professional administration service through the Associate Hub.
• Act as a liaison and an intermediary between WAPW and NBCN back office for all estate and trust related matters.
• Be responsible for researching and providing timely and accurate responses to estate and trust inquiries from WAPW staff.
• Assist the documentation department with the submission of estate and trust documents and will work with the Associates to settle them.
• Work with other departments as required to build and refine processes and procedures to support superior Advisor and Client experience.
• Consistently apply superior decision-making technique to inquiries and request as they apply to existing policies and procedures and escalate to the Senior Manager, Advisor Experience, where required.
• Provide weekly reports to the Senior Manager, Advisor Experience on the type and source of inquiries, and make informed inferences from them.
• Maintain a proficient knowledge of all estate and trust rules and regulations.
• Become an expert resource person on all day to day operational procedures.
• Assist in identifying potential training opportunities and ways to reduce estate and trust related support required by staff.
• Ensure timely distribution of trust and estate related information, materials and publications to Advisors and Associates.
• Support with mid-office duties in the Associate Hub.
• Problem solve and research multiple solutions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Educational & Industry Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Administration or similar field of study is preferred but equivalent combination of education experience will be considered.
• Minimum of 5 years industry experience, preferably in an Estate and Trust and/or operational capacity.
• The Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designation will be considered a strong asset.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to communicate difficult or complex information clearly.
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, notably Excel; experience with financial tools is an asset.
• Ability to deal with numerous activities with varying degrees of priority
