The opportunity:
We’re looking for a personable, organized self-starter to join our team and help expand our new office in Leduc. Reporting to the Senior Investment Advisor, the Unlicensed Associate/Assistant acts as a resource person for clients and assists Investment Advisors with administrative tasks related to managing client accounts.

Key responsibilities include:
Assist in preparing Advisors for client meetings, including preparation of account opening documentation.
Account processing (converting RRSP to RRIF, setting up RRIF payments, estates, beneficiary updates, etc.).
Process a variety of transactions (ex: issuing cheques, deposits, contributions and withdrawals, incoming and outgoing transfers).
Commit to rigorous follow up relating to all client transactions to ensure proper processing and minimize errors.
Acts as a general resource person for clients (ex: greeting clients, printing statements, preparing tax packages).
Have a strong understanding of the firm’s procedures and policies.
Act as a lead on team projects.
Maintain client files, ensure that all documentation and notes are compliant with industry regulations.
General administrative tasks (ex: prepare letters, client communication pieces, etc.).
Coordinate and attend office functions and events.
Performs other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will possess:
Diploma in business administration, accounting, finance, or similar field of study.
Investment/Financial industry experience, preferably in an administrative or operational capacity is an asset.
Completion of CSC/CPH is an asset.
Demonstrated high proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
Excellent attitude and committed to providing extraordinary service.
Ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment.
Demonstrated ability to independently prioritize and accomplish tasks with minimal supervision.
Proven ability to independently identify problems and make suggestions for improvement.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing needs and work requirements; stay up to date on all processes and procedures.
Strong organizational and administrative skills sufficient to deal with numerous activities with varying degrees of priority.
Customer focused; excellent attitude and committed to providing extraordinary service.
Excellent attention to detail.
Reliable, consistent work ethic.
