The Division Controller, for Western Pacific Enterprises, subsidiary of MYR Group, Inc., has ultimate responsibility for all fiscal functions of the division and serves as a key member of the executive leadership team. Lead and direct the work of the entire Finance Department, with six direct reports. Responsible for aligning departmental strategy or direction with the overall goals of the Finance department and the organization. Develops policies, practices and procedures that have a significant impact on the organization.
This position is located in our new Headquarters office in Surrey, B.C., and we offer a hybrid work schedule. Our new office is located at: Western Pacific Enterprises, 19433 96 Ave Unit 200, Surrey, BC V4N 4C4, Canada. You will work closely with our Corporate Accounting Team, based in Colorado, United States.

Essential Functions
- Oversee the accounting and financial reporting functions to ensure regulatory compliance (including GAAP, FASB, and SEC mandates)
- Own the monthly closing process and financial reporting up to corporate, including preparation of the financial reporting package and assist in the presentation of the financial review
- Mentor and guide the accounting staff to ensure appropriate development that is consistent with the organization’s values
- Assist in managing the audit of the division, including the quarterly review procedures along with the year-end audit process
- Ensure compliance with company and divisional policies and procedures
- Protect company assets from theft/fraud/etc.
- Work with Operations to establish annual budgets and track progress monthly
- Manage divisional cash flow and work with the corporate Treasury function to ensure proper funding levels
- Other duties as assigned

About You:
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of progressively-responsible accounting/finance experience is required
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is desired
- Prior Percentage of Completion accounting or construction accounting experience is strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Master’s degree preferred

- Excellent knowledge of GAAP and International Financial Reporting Standards (FRS)
- Thorough understanding of accounting and financial theory and practice

Compensation & Benefits
Salary commensurate with experience, paid weekly, with additional bonus program. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.- Two days per week remote work option for non-field roles depending on position and performance.
