The Parts Helper/Picker will work alongside the Shipper and Receiver to support warehouse functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform warehouse functions, which may include loading, picking, packing, scanning, shipping/receiving, general cleaning;
Plan ahead for future deliveries and streamline the process;
Be responsible for meeting delivery deadlines commitments;
Maintain strict housekeeping standards in accordance with 5S protocols;
Ensure high levels of internal customer satisfaction;
A Safe Attitude and compliance with Health and Safety practices and procedures including wearing PPE such as steel-toed work boots or shoes;
Identify product and vendor information through computer systems;
Operate powered industrial equipment (PIT); we provide special training to associates based on interest and availability;
Lift up to 22 kilograms /50 pounds to organize merchandise;
Operate carts, dollies, hand trucks, forklifts, order pickers, and other equipment to move large quantities of merchandise;
Accept other responsibilities as required to support the company’s business needs;
Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Completion of Grade 12 supplemented by related training and experience;
Experience in an Automotive/Industrial parts department will be considered an asset.
Valid B.C. Driver’s License with safe driving record.
Experience in warehousing and distribution environment is a plus;
Proven experience and knowledge of deliveries planning;
Excellent attention to detail and a positive attitude, with good interpersonal skills;
Time management and organizational skills required;
Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills;
Ability to read delivery invoices an asset;
Previous forklift and/or lift truck experience is an asset but not required;
Ability to work in a quick-paced group environment;
Stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 8 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach;
Climb and descend stairs (applies to sites with stairs) to manager merchandise;
