Westland Insurance Group Ltd has a new opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Clerk in Surrey, BC at our Brand New Head office at King George Hub. This is a 1-year contractor position with growth opportunity. We are looking for a career minded individual who is focused on growing their experience in Accounting. The Opportunity:
The Accounts Receivable Clerk is an integral part of the Accounting team and will be working in support of internal and external clients.

In this role you’ll:

• Perform accurate and timely completion of Accounts Receivable transactions
• Process client payments, apply receipts, issue client statements, process payment plans, reconcile statements, and assist in the collection of outstanding receivables
• Respond to queries from our internal and external clients in a timely and professional manner
• Support the Accounting team and various internal clients as directed
• Assist with additional projects as necessary

Here’s what you bring:

• Post-Secondary training in accounting
• 2-3 years’ experience in an Accounts Receivable department
• Demonstrated ability to work in MS Office Suite and various ERP systems
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to take direction and complete tasks independently or with little direction’
• Client service disposition with a desire to learn and grow
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task
• High degree of accuracy and keen attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and to exercise discretion are important qualities
• Good technical, analytical, computer and database skills
• Collections experience is an asset
