Westpoint Naturals is looking for a Staff Accounting to support full-cycle accounting, inventory costing, and financial analysis.
This is a great opportunity for someone who has completed an accounting program and is looking for hands on experience, while working toward their CPA designation.
Interest in manufacturing, food production, and inventory costing/analysis is preferred.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform bank reconciliation, record customer payments and other day-to-day journal entries.
- Assisting month-end close procedures, including preparing and posting monthly journal entries and preparing balance sheet reconciliations.
- Administrate accounts payable process including receipt of invoices, invoice entries, and payment processing.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Compilation of year-end financial statements and working papers
- Perform ad hoc tasks, as required by management.
- Prepare operational & sales reporting.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma, or bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Working towards a CPA or equivalent designation
- One to two years of experience in full cycle accounting
- Strong understanding of accounting principles
- An openness to using new systems and streamlining processes through automation.
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Business and financial acumen
- Advanced Excel skills
Salary range: 45-$50k per year
