About the Role

Willowglen Systems is looking for QA Test Developer to join our talented team. The Quality Assurance department at Willowglen is responsible for the implementation and documentation of test cases of provided software designs developed by our inhouse development team focused on the integrated enterprise SCADA software solutions for Willowglen Systems clients across the globe. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on various ongoing exciting projects and new product development initiatives involving the Agile framework, Machine Learning, big data/analytics, and Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT).
Key Responsibilities
Develop source code for auto-tests as well as investigate 3rd party tools and add-ons for additional enhancement and evolution of the auto-testing
Develop internal test tools
Conduct QA testing to ensure completeness, quality, and performance of software functionality – includes internal and external/manual and automatic/sanity/ functional/ performing tests, recording results, logging issues and issue resolution actions (investigating, re-creating, correcting and validating fix)
Be able to work comfortably and effectively with changing priorities and requirements
Write software document(s)
Investigate defects and bugs when needed
Develop code in Unix/Linux environments, sometimes without the aid of an IDE
Perform other testing tasks as assigned by the Software QA manager
Required Qualifications
BSc (minimum) in Engineering, Computer Science, or comparable area of studies – or equivalent.
Must have excellent analytical, problem solving and computational skills.
Must have proven multitasking skills and ability to work under pressure.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Considered an asset to have the following
Knowledge of contemporary technologies such as
Operating Systems: Linux-RHEL 7, Windows 10/11
Languages: C++, JAVA, Groovy
Scripting: Python, Bash, Go/Golang
Supporting Frameworks: Spock, pytest, Gomega
Supporting Tools: Confluence, JIRA, Crucible, Git, Kubernetes, Docker, Selenium
Virtualization Software: VirtualBox, VMWare
Experience with machine learning software and tools (e.g. Tensorflow)
Other assets: Sencha EXTJS 4.2, Qt 4+, React, Angular, jQuery, NodeJS, EMQX / MQTT, Redis / Redis Streams, MongoDB, PostgreDB, MySQL
