Accounting Clerk (3 month temporary to permanent)

Toronto, ON – 2 days per week in-office

$50,000 – $55,000

Our Client is a non for profit organization in the entertainment industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting, bookkeeping, and financial tasks. The primary duties include keeping financial records updated, preparing reports, and reconciling bank statements.

Responsibilities

  • Process invoices, payments and receipts, ensuring all financial transactions are
  • Record financial transactions
  • Prepare month end accounting procedures and supporting working papers
  • Preparation of journal entries and bank reconciliations on a timely basis to ensure financial reports and statements are accurate
  • Prepare financial analysis on monthly reports to assist management
  • Manage day to day banking and preparation of daily cash flows
  • Ad-hoc projects and analysis as required by senior finance and senior non-finance staff

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of accounting experience
  • College / University degree – ideally accounting / business / economics focused
  • Advanced Excel skills is a must (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, IF)
  • Strong communication skills
  • QuickBooks
