Job Description

At Wish, our Data Science & Engineering team is composed of Data Scientists, Data Analysts & Data Engineers who focus on centralizing corporate data in order to gain insights, knowledge and scalability, that empower a proactive and rigorous analysis of key business indicators. Our mission is to derive wisdom from data via the application of Data Science.

Job Responsibilities

This role will have exposure in various parts of the business such as merchant growth, logistics, customer service, and content.

• Applying quantitative, data mining, and presentation skills in helping the business to understand growth drivers and identify opportunities for optimization
• Defining and validating metrics to evaluate business performance

Qualifications

• Solid foundation in computer science, math and/or software engineering
• Strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design
• Interest in end-to-end feature development from design to execution
• Self-motivated, hands-on, relentlessly focused on impact, and able to operate under a great deal of independence
• Strong knowledge of statistics
• Familiar with SQL
• Clear communicator
• We work with Python, R, Hadoop (Hive), MongoDB, and Redshift

The base salary range for this position is $45-50 per hour. Please note that individual total compensation for this position will be determined at the Company’s sole discretion and may vary based on several factors, including but not limited to, location, skill level, years and depth of relevant experience, qualifications and other business considerations.
