Wonderland Academy Looking for Supervisor/early childcare educator at Calgary, AB Full Time

Our new center is now looking for one supervisor and one educator joining in our NW team.

SUPERVISOR

Reporting to the Director, acts as an integral member of the team to assist in the overall management of daily supervision and operations of a child age group.
JOB DUTIES

• excellent communication skills with parents and team members; Build a positive working relationship with families;
• Plans and implements enriched programs in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice and program philosophy;
• Leads children in activities by conducting variable activities, preparing craft materials and demonstrating their use and providing opportunities for creative expression to all teachers;
• Takes a leadership role in the classroom and provides excellent supervision and interaction with children at all times including playground activities;
• Promotes open communication and works cooperatively and effectively as a team member;
• Prepares and maintains the indoor and outdoor play areas for children’s use, including checking toys and equipment to ensure safe functioning and performing various housekeeping and sanitizing duties as required;
• Participates in lunch, diapering, bathroom and toilet training duties and promotes healthy and independent practices;
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Maintain high-quality standards within the center;

· Ensure centre complies with the Fire, Health, and Safety Standards;

· Audit classrooms to ensure policies and procedures are enforced.

Educator

–Support supervisor in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children

— Enthusiasm for serving public ensuring that all children and clients are cared for equally and in accordance with our standards

–Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to listen and respond appropriately to client and children’s needs

–High energy level with a strong work ethic

–Excellent organization skills to prioritize workload in order to achieve results in a constantly changing environment
Qualifications

• Child Development Worker or Child Development Supervisor Certification (formerly ECE Level 2 or ECE Level 3)
• updated C.P.R. and First Aid
• Calgary Police Check
• Fully Vaccinated

Job Types: Full-time/Part-time, Permanent

Salary: $17.00-$19.00 per hour+ top-up

COVID-19 considerations:
We follow all the mandatory COVID-19 masking regulations for all employees as well as all mandatory cleaning protocols. We require all educators to be fully vaccinated as per the mandated requirements of the schools we work in.

• childcare: 2 years (preferred)
• leadership role: 2 years (preferred)
