Your Opportunity
In this newly created position, the Director of Investments will play a critical role in shaping and executing the investment strategy of Lankin Investments. Reporting directly to the President & CEO, this position is focused on identifying, evaluating, and executing investment opportunities that align with our firm’s objectives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in real estate investment, with a comprehensive understanding of multi-family residential markets. This role is pivotal in driving our firm’s growth and requires a strategic thinker with exceptional analytical and leadership skills.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
Investment Strategy Development: Lead the formulation and execution of the firm’s investment strategy, focusing on multi-family residential properties. Ensure alignment with the overall business objectives and market conditions.
Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and risks in the real estate market. Utilize insights to inform investment decisions and strategy adjustments.
Deal Sourcing and Evaluation: Support deal sourcing, evaluate, and negotiate investment opportunities. Perform detailed financial analysis and due diligence to assess the viability and potential of each investment.
Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain complex financial models to support investment decisions. Analyze cash flow, return on investment, and other financial metrics to determine the value and potential of investment opportunities.
Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, brokers, and legal teams, to ensure smooth execution of investment transactions. Communicate investment strategy and performance effectively.
Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of investment professionals. Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
Portfolio Management: Collaborate with the asset management team to monitor the performance of the investment portfolio. Provide strategic insights and recommendations to enhance portfolio value.
Leading Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in real estate investment, with a significant focus on multi-family residential properties.
- Strong track record of successful investment analysis, and execution.
- Expertise in financial modelling, market analysis, and investment strategy development.
- A strong network of real estate industry professionals.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong negotiation skills and a keen eye for detail.
