WP Osborne Executive Search Inc. Looking for Manager, Real Estate Global Markets at Toronto, Ontario, Canada Full Time

Starlight Investments, in conjunction with WP Osborne Executive Search, is looking to fill a Manager role for the Global Markets department.

MANAGER, REAL ESTATE GLOBAL MARKETS

Reporting to the President of Global Markets and working with a team of results-oriented investment/corporate development professionals, the Manager, Global Markets will contribute to the capital-raising process with prominent institutional global investors (pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, family offices) and support the creation of strategy and initiatives that align with the company’s growth objectives nationally and internationally. The Global Markets team have played an instrumental role in Starlight’s significant growth; having raised over $5bn in capital, secured new investment partners globally and launched new lines of business. This is a unique opportunity to work with the C-Suite, contribute to this team’s ongoing success, and be part of Starlight’s continued growth.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work with Starlight’s executive team and help develop strategies for each business line, identify expansion and growth opportunities and new businesses;
• Analyze macro trends in the real estate sector and potential investment vehicles that Starlight can launch to address those opportunities;
• Work closely with the company’s Limited Partners and manage investor relations;
• Prepare quarterly reports on the performance of the company’s funds;
• Develop pitch books, presentations, and related marketing materials;
• Build financial models for fundraising purposes;
• Manage due diligence requests from prospective investors during the capital raising process;
• Prepare market research reports including competitors’ analysis and industry trends;
• Assist in crafting the company’s marketing and communications strategy.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess a University Degree in Business, Commerce or a related field and 5 years of experience in investment banking, equity research, management consulting, private equity or real estate; strong experience managing client relationships, marketing and developing key messaging coupled with strong financial modeling skills; and strong inter-personal, project management, and communication skills with proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint. Proficient understanding of private equity, financial services and real estate investments is preferred.
