X Development and Construx.co Inc. are a boutique development and construction company headquartered in Montreal, Quebec. Founded in 2005 by LorneMiller, X Dev and Construx aim to design, build, and own outstanding real estate, exceeding clients’ and tenants’ expectations through engineering and aesthetics. Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Project Manager. The Project Manager will be responsible to work in collaboration with the other team members, clients, consultants, sub-contractors and suppliers to coordinate, plan and realize the construction of different types of buildings: multi-residential, commercial and industrial.
The Project Manager will also be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the clients’ specifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering;
- ASP Certification Card;
- At least 5 years experience working as a project manager in a competing general contractor;
- Experience and certification as a project manager on Procore cloud based software;
- Experience in construction scheduling and usage of scheduling software such as MS Project or Smart Sheets;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French;
- Ability to lead and manage a team.
The ideal candidate for this position should be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work well under pressure. They should have a strong understanding of construction and development processes, be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and be adept at problem-solving and conflict resolution.
