We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Technologist to join our creative team for a full-time position. The ideal individual will have 7-10 years of local experience in the field of Residential Architecture, be a self-starter, and have strong project architect skills.

Description

Most of the things you’ll work on:

• Work closely with Project Managers and project teams
• Be responsible for detail drawings, in accordance with industry standards and code requirements
• Direct production and coordination of documents in collaboration with Project Managers
• Coordinate with other architectural and engineering disciplines as well as external consultants to prepare high quality coordinated documents
• Work on multiple projects at the same time
• Keep up to date on construction practices, products, codes, and technologies
• Review details in documents for conformance with design
• Implement meeting objectives and provide documentation in collaboration with Project Managers
• Mentor staff
• Be accountable for effective coordination with partners, clients, and consultants

You’ll need to have:

• Diploma or Bachelors Degree from an accredited Architecture or Technical program
• 7-10 years experience in  BC in preparing and coordinating details in documentation for wood frame multi residential buildings (experience high-rise residential and mixed-use development is an asset)
• Strong communication (written and verbal) skills
• Thorough understanding of the BCBC and VBBL
• Strong time management and organizational skills with an ability to work within a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
• Experience and proficiency with CAD software (Vectoworks preferred) and Microsoft Office. REVIT experience is a plus
• Great critical thinking skills with the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Eligible to work in BC
