What you will do…
- Collaborate with a dynamic Health and Wellness Leader team and support their hiring needs
- Build recruiting programs/incentives that maximize visibility and result in successful hires
- Determine applicant requirements by preparing job postings and recruitment materials
- Build applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, universities, social media and internet sites, making presentations, providing association information, participating in job fairs etc.
- Collaborate with the YMCA People team to build a reliable recruiting and selection tool to filter candidates and further the associations JAIDE (Justice, Accessibility, Inclusion, Diversity and Equity) commitment
- Screen candidate resumes and job applications
- Partner with department leaders to determine applicant’s qualifications by phone screening, interviewing, analysing responses, verifying references, comparing qualifications to job requirements.
- Evaluate applicants by confirming and collecting their qualifications
- Onboard new employees in order to become fully integrated
- Ensuring new employees have completed mandatory training and emergency procedures
- Track hiring needs, collect and analyse data, provide recruiting reports that meet measurable staffing targets
- Improve candidate experience by recommending new talent practices/processes based on collected insights
- Act as the point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process
- Role model YMCA core values and promote the reputation of the Y as a great place to work
- Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Adheres to all YMCA of Three Rivers policies and procedures and ensures confidentially is maintained on candidate, personnel, financial and organizational matters;
- Represent YMCA of Three Rivers at all times in a professional manner
- Carry out any other duties, as required
What you will bring…
- Minimum of one year in high volume recruitment, people leadership, or human resources
A solid ability to conduct different types of virtual and in-person interviews (group, structured, competency based, working etc.).
- Familiarity with roles within Health and Wellness. Knowledge of aquatic and fitness qualifications is an asset.
- Strong time-management skills and ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
- You have well developed interpersonal and relationship building skills; the ability to use good judgement and problem-solve; and strong professional conduct.
- Up-to-date Standard First Aid and CPR (Level C) certification, successful completion of Vulnerable Police Records Check within the last 6 months or a willingness to obtain these as a condition of hire.
- Sensitivity to diversity, equity, and inclusion to work effectively with colleagues and candidates of diverse backgrounds
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, Internet, email, applicant tracking systems and database management
