The YMCA of Greater Richmond is seeking a motivated, cause-driven Youth Development Director to provide leadership to the YMCA’s Youth Development department – with supervision of our early learning center located at Liberation church.

DUTIES
The Director will provide leadership to The Early Learning Center, to include supporting a team of dedicated early learning professionals and ensuring the education, care and development of children from 3 years of age through pre-K while leading the center and fostering a culture of inspiration, accountability and support. The Director develops and implements policies, procedures, and curriculum designed to meet the needs of children and parents.
Qualifications
Candidates should have a passion for youth development and the Y mission, and experience building relationships. A high school degree or equivalent is required, with a bachelor’s degree strongly preferred. At least three years of supervisory experience in youth development or early childhood programming are required. Related academic/enrichment experience and/or college courses required. Excellent relationship-building skills and oral and written communication skills are needed as well as computer and administrative proficiency.
- Must complete Virginia Preservice Training for Child Care Staff online prior to working first shift with children.
- Must complete CPR & First Aid certification within first 30 days of employment.
Annual Salary: $38-40,000 plus benefits and free Y membership
