Job Description and Level Under Review
POSITION PURPOSE
Reporting to the Head, Talent Management, the Lead, Talent Acquisition is responsible for developing and implementing sustainable Talent Acquisition practices and delivery of hiring plans and recruitment strategies. Manages the day to day direction of the TA Consultants to manage the full recruitment life cycle for their designated client groups ensuring a seamless new hire onboarding experience. Delivers holistic talent acquisition solutions that are impactful and provides a best-in-class experience for internal and external candidates. Provides expert advice and guidance to management and to the People, Equity and Culture team regarding best practices, programs and policies; and ensures talent acquisition programs are supportive of corporate objectives and reflective of industry best practices.
Collaborates with HR Business Partners and various departmental stakeholders across the Region to understand business needs and leverages as inputs into the development of programs, solutions, work plans and deliverables. Reviews, implements and streamlines processes by leveraging technology to improve the candidate and hiring manager experiences and ensure activities are barrier free, inclusive, and equitable. Analyzes and reports recruitment data, identifies trends and makes recommendations to address opportunity areas. Activates the employer brand across omni channels to enable strategically sourcing and building of a talent pipeline for York Region’s current and future talent needs.
