Education:
Successful applicant must obtain a W.H.M.I.S. certificate prior to the completion of the probationary or trial period. Must hold a valid Ontario drivers licence (Class’G’). Current General Carpenter Certificate of Qualifications (Province of Ontario).
Experience:
Minimum of five years’ recent experience in the maintenance of building and fitments. some construction experience preferred. Ability to use all shop machinery. demonstrated ability to repair doors, fabricate cabinets, repair furniture and install door hardware. broad knowledge of all types of panic hardware, locks, hinges and door closers
Skills:
Ability to lift and handle various materials and build all types of scaffolds. Ability to climb high ladders and work safely on scaffolding. Demonstrated ability to deal courteously with the public. Ability to perform drywall repairs.
