Who we need
– The Receptionist is responsible for attending to visitors to the 2000 Steeles Avenue West location and dealing with all face-to-face and telephone enquiries. Additionally, this role provides general administrative and clerical support for the 2000 Steeles Avenue West location.
– Located at Yorkville University Steeles Campus, 2000 Steeles Avenue West, Concord, ON L4K 4N1
– Able to work from 11:00AM – 7:00PM ( Monday to Friday)

What you will do:
· Welcomes visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone
· Directs visitors to appropriate location/department
· Responds to queries from the public, customers and staff
· Provides information on the telephone, screens and directs calls
· Takes and relays messages appropriately
· Ensures knowledge of staff movements in and out of organization
· Receives and sorts mail and deliveries including courier deliveries and dispatch
· Schedules appointments and meetings
· Ensures appropriate supply of stationery and office materials
· Maintains meeting and conference room bookings
· Provides telephone backup for other campuses
· Provides general administrative and clerical support as required
· Monitor the FreshService queue for Student ID Cards and scheduling with the student an ideal time to create the Student ID Cards on campus for the students.
· Review the student bookings for computer lab time for the BID classroom 145.
· Inform operations of any new parking pass permit requests.
· Act as a liaison between the main reception desk and the student services desk.
· Assist with organizing of events being planned on campus at 2000 Steeles Avenue West such as, ordering catered cuisine, booking hotel requests and welcoming prominent guests and visitors.
What you bring:
– 2-3 years experience in a receptionist/administrative role
– 2-3 years experience in a customer service role
– Degree / diploma in business or related field would be an asset
